21 Savage Sued For $1 Million From Promoter Who Claims Savage Stole $17,000

21 Savage is entering a new area of problems, following the revelation that he allegedly took $17,000 from a promoter. After ICE apprehended the Issa artist, he was subsequently released, but during his capture, a promoter came out with a story of the rapper’s supposed behavior.

This Friday, a club promoter re-filed a civil case in Fulton County, where the rapper currently lives. This was just one week after his felony/criminal case was rejected by the District Attorney’s office. It’s unclear why the DA rejected the case, but the promoter is now making it a civil dispute.

Sadaetirs Kent Smith was the one who hired Savage for the show, and she’s seeking $60,000 for both breach of contract as well as $1,000,000 for emotional distress. The promoter also wants a jury to hear the case for an unidentified reason.

In October 2016, Smith filed a warrant for the rapper’s arrest but didn’t bother continuing to chase the rapper. The case came back into the public’s consciousness when TMZ unearthed it shortly after his February 3rd apprehension by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency.

As it was previously reported, 21 Savage was taken into federal custody because of the fact he was revealed to have been staying illegally in the United States since the late 2000s. Mr. Abraham-Joseph eventually admitted he really was an illegal immigrant.

Currently, it isn’t clear if ICE is still in the process of deporting him. Mr. Abraham-Joseph spent over a week in the Irwin County Detention Center in Ocilla before a federal judge allowed Savage to go home after paying a bail amount of $100,000.

Regarding his case with Kent Smith, the promoter claims that Abraham-Joseph had accepted a payment of approximately $16,500 for a concert on the 4th of September, 2016. It was at the Club Bo’Maz in Hinesville, but he never actually performed.

21 Savage was nominated this year at the Grammys for two awards, including “record of the year” with Post-Malone. His last album, I Am I Was, went to number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
